The International School for Holocaust Studies

Postcards Design Project

Designer: Ayelet Reuveni

In my work I took common expressions from everyday life and gave them two meanings: one from our lives today and one from the Second World War. The connection between an ordinary phrase from our world and the Holocaust creates a creepy meaning. Passing through the images gives the viewer an understanding that this was everyday life for people who went through the Holocaust. The work addresses young audiences by connecting to what happened in the Second World War through objects and expressions from their own world.
