Today The Siren Cried For Me

Today The Siren Cried For Me

This is a touching collection of poems dealing with the memory of the Holocaust. The author is an educator and psychologist who is familiar with the inner world of the child, comprehending children’s perception and emotions alike. Her poems concern objects that children encounter in their nearby surroundings: A picture, candles, a Star of David, sirens and more. In clear, sensitive language, she uses these objects to convey information, explanations and feelings concerning the Holocaust in refined and tempered tones, encouraging the child to absorb, process, internalize and remember the message the poems bear. The book allows readers to proceed laong the time axis, from yesterday to tomorrow, always maintaining their optimism and faith.
