Read a recent article outlining the efforts of dedicated Names Recovery volunteers, many of whom are Holocaust survivors themselves, as they provide assistance and support to other survivors who wish to commemorate their lost loved ones.

Belarus Volunteers Join Names recovery efforts
In May 2008, a Yad Vashem delegation to Belarus joined with local partners collecting and documenting the names of some 800,000 Jews killed in the region during the Shoah. Click here to view photo. Those interested in getting involved in outreach efforts to recover the names of Holocaust victims from the Former Soviet Union can visit our Russian language Mini-site for resources and promotional materials.
