Jewish badge from Tunisia

Distinctive Jewish badge that Jewish forced laborers in Tunisia were required to wear on their clothing in accordance with the directives of the German occupation.

Not all Jews of Tunisia were required to wear a distinctive Jewish badge. It was only required of Jewish men who were sent to forced labor in the cities of Sousse, Sfax, Moknine and Kairouan and also in forced labour camps in Tunisia. There is one badge from Tunisia in the Yad Vashem Artifacts Collection.
