Dr. Joseph Kermish (1907-2005), Holocaust survivor, established the Yad Vashem Archives in 1953, and served as its director until 1979. Dr. Kermish edited and published several collections of source material, including "To Live with Honor and Die with Honor: Selected Documents from the Warsaw Ghetto Underground Archives".
