Hallo Martusch

Dear friends
I thank you very much for the attention you gave to my personal story. It is not so popular now. I do not consider myself a hero, it was just luck!
I happen to be one of the survivors that were lucky to be saved by a Nobel polish family that not like many others, were brave and caring. Their act shins even brighter knowing that most of the so called western Christian world, and the Vatican leadership as well, were silent by-standers when the Jews were sent to the gas chambers.
The book was written with the intention to expose the children of today, to the "unbelievable" stories of what happened to children like them, only sixty five years ago, just because they where Jewish. I wanted it to be published as part of my personal contribution to memorize my parents and all other victims of that war, among them about 1.5 million Jewish children!
As to your questions:
This month we are celebrating Ant Lunia's 87th birthday. We are in close contact. She has 3 children and 10 grand children.
Mrs. Czaplinska-she is my hero!! When things got worse she showed up as a devoted mother fighting to save my life.
When I got back to Poland I learned that after we have been separated and I went to Israel, she became very sick, she missed me, and she was hoping and waiting to meet me again. If I would meet her I would lean on my knees and say: "forgive me for
leaving you".
For the last 10 years I have been devoting my time and energy to-not let the Holocaust been forgotten. I speak to children and teachers in Israel and in other countries. As part of that mission I have conducted a research work on the fate of the Jews during
1939-1944 in the Czortkow region in Ukrain (was Poland during the war time). This research is now in print (but in Hebrew until I can find money for translation). I am attaching the abstract of the book so you can get acquainted with subjects you most probably have not been exposed to.
Best regards, Shalom
