In my work I chose to point out the contrast between the Nazi rhetoric, as it appeared in Adolf Hitler's writing, and the reality of the Nazi killing machine. The Nazi rhetoric played a vital role in defining the worldview of the German citizens and its supporters, and allowed for the atrocities to go unopposed. It is imperative to understand the role that the propaganda and rhetoric had in the Nazi machine, in order to understand the Nazis' belief that they were justified in their actions.
