On Monday 6 June, President of Liberia, H.E. Ms. Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, visited Yad Vashem. Ms. Johnson-Sirleaf toured the Museum of Holocaust Art and the exhibition "Stars Without a Heaven: Children in the Holocaust," as well as the Yad vashem Synagogue, which houses several refurbished pieces of Judaica from Eastern Europe. The President also participated in a memorial ceremony in the Hall of Remembrance and visited the Children's Memorial. At the conclusion of her visit, she signed the Yad Vashem Guest Book and expressed how she and her delegation shared "in the pain and memories as we walked through the past events of sorrow."
