American actor Marlee Matlin visited Yad Vashem, the World Holocaust Remembrance Center, last week. Her visit to Yad Vashem was part of a tour of Israel as a guest of the Ruderman Family Foundation. During her visit to Yad Vashem, Matlin met with Director General of Yad Vashem Dorit Novak, toured the Holocaust History Museum, and visited the Hall of Names and the Yad Vashem Visual Center. Matlin, who is of Russian-Jewish decent, expressed great interest in investigating her own family's connection to the Holocaust
