Yad Vashem’s Testimony Collection includes 36,000 testimonies, collected since 1945. 12,000 of these are video testimonies that have been digitized and can be viewed at the Visual Center. Others can be accessed in the Yad Vashem Reading Room, Sunday-Thursday between 08:30-17:00. To order copies of these testimonies please send an email to holocaust_res.crm@yadvashem.org.il.
The USC Shoah Foundation – The Institute for Visual History and Education collection of 52,000 videotaped testimonies. The entire collection is available for viewing at Yad Vashem's Visual Center. The overwhelming majority of the testimonies are by Jewish survivors. There are also testimonies by other survivors, including Roma and Sinti, Jehovah’s Witnesses, and homosexuals. Additional testimonies by concentration camp liberators and witnesses of camp liberations, people tried for war crimes and rescuers and aid providers are included in the collection.
Copies or segments of testimonies must be ordered directly from the USC Shoah Foundation. USC Shoah Foundation provides copies of testimonies to family members and institutions, as well as specific segments for use in educational projects.
