Prime Minister to present medal to Yad Vashem Chairman

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk will visit Yad Vashem tomorrow, April 10, 2008. The Prime Minister will present Yad Vashem Chairman Avner Shalev with the gold Medal for Merit to Culture (“Gloria Artis”) in recognition of his contribution to the preservation of memory of the Holocaust. The medal, awarded in three classes, gold, silver and bronze, has been conferred since 1991 to both Polish and foreign nationals who are active in the field of Polish culture and arts.
