A two-week seminar for Danish educators begins today at Yad Vashem’s International School for Holocaust Studies. Together with Yad Vashem specialists and other guest speakers, the sixteen participants will learn about approaches to teaching antisemitism and the Holocaust in the classroom. Participants are sponsored by Thanks to Scandinavia, an educational fund in gratitude for the humanity and bravery of the people and governments of Scandinavia, who protected persons of the Jewish faith during and after World War II.
Yad Vashem’s International School for Holocaust Studies is responsible for Shoah education in Israel and abroad. Activities provided by the School include study seminars, teacher training programs, curricula development, overseas programming and publications. Seminars for educators are offered in over 10 different languages.
