Yad Vashem is closed on Saturdays and all Jewish Holidays.

Entrance to the Holocaust History Museum is not permitted for children under the age of 10. Babies in strollers or carriers will not be permitted to enter.

Event Marking 70 Years since the Roundup of French Jewry

On Monday July 16, 2012, Yad Vashem will hold a ceremony marking 70 years since the roundup of French Jewry during the Shoah. The event will begin with a ceremony in the Hall of Remembrance at 11:00 followed by a commemoration event in the Auditorium at 12:00 and is open to the press. The event will take place in French and Hebrew. Media who wish to attend the event should RSVP at: 02 644 3410.

H.E. Mr. Christophe Bigot, French Ambassador to Israel

Mr. Shlomo Balsam, President of Aloumim, the Israel Association of Jewish Children Hidden in France during the Holocaust

Mr. Robert Spira, Representative of Sons and Daughters of French Jewish Deportees

Dr. Simha Epstein, of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, will deliver the keynote lecture "70 Years since the roundup at Velodrome d'Hiver."
