Yad Vashem is closed on Saturdays and all Jewish Holidays.

Entrance to the Holocaust History Museum is not permitted for children under the age of 10. Babies in strollers or carriers will not be permitted to enter.

German Chancellor Dr. Angela Merkel and Prime Minister Ehud Olmert at Yad Vashem Tomorrow

Ministers from both Governments to Accompany the Visit

16 March 2008

German Chancellor Dr. Angela Merkel accompanied by Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, and eight Ministers from each government will visit Yad Vashem on Monday, March 17, 2008. A memorial ceremony, with the participation of the Chancellor and the Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Yad Vashem Directorate Avner Shalev, will take place in the Hall of Remembrance. Following the ceremony, the Chancellor will visit the Children’s Memorial, sign the Yad Vashem Guest Book, and offer a short statement. The Chancellor last visited Yad Vashem in January 2006, when she had an extended tour of the Holocaust History Museum.
