(Jerusalem, January 20, 2016) On January 26, 2016, Yad Vashem will host an event marking the International Day of Commemoration in Memory of the Victims of the Holocaust for the diplomatic corps in Israel. Israeli and international diplomatic officials from over forty countries are expected to attend this annual event including France, Germany, European Union, Hungary, Italy, Lithuania, Poland, Spain, the United States, Russia. After the formal remarks guests will be taken on a behind-the-scenes tour of the Yad Vashem Archives and participate in a discussion in the Learning Center. The event will commence at 16:30.

Opening remarks by Dorit Novak, Yad Vashem Director-General
Greetings from Naftali Bennett, Israeli Minister of Education
H.E. Mr. Henri Etoundi Essomba, Dean of the Diplomatic Corps
Keynote Address entitled "Holocaust Remembrance in Contemporary International Discourse" by Dr. Dore Gold, Director-General of the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs
The tour of the Yad Vashem Archives will be conducted by Dr. Haim Gertner, Director of the Archives Division, and a presentation and discussion in the Learning Center will be led by Orit Margaliot, International School for Holocaust Studies.
