Newly appointed Deputy Chairman of Yad Vashem Ronen Plot

Members of the Yad Vashem Directorate have unanimously appointed Ronen Plot, Member of the Directorate, as Deputy Chairman of the Directorate, until the appointment of a permanent Chairman.
Within the capacity of that position, starting on 1 January 2021 Ronen Plot will serve temporarily as Acting Chairman of the Yad Vashem Directorate in place of Avner Shalev, the incumbent Chairman, who ends his 27-year term at the end of 2020.
Shalev expressed his willingness to assist Plot to the full extent necessary during the period of his service as Acting Chairman. "I extend my warm appreciation to Ronen Plot for his consent to take this responsibility upon himself, as a volunteer, and wish him much success."
