Yad Vashem is closed on Saturdays and all Jewish Holidays.

Entrance to the Holocaust History Museum is not permitted for children under the age of 10. Babies in strollers or carriers will not be permitted to enter.

The central theme for this year’s Holocaust Martyrs’ and Heroes’ Remembrance Day is Holocaust Survivors in Israel - 60 Years Since the Establishment of the State.

The Official Opening Ceremony for Holocaust Martyrs’ and Heroes’ Remembrance Day will take place on Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at 20:00, at Warsaw Ghetto Square, Yad Vashem, Mount of Remembrance, Jerusalem. Yad Vashem will be closed to the public as of 12 noon on April 30. It will re-open Thursday, May 1, at 8:00.
