Yad Vashem is closed on Saturdays and all Jewish Holidays.

Entrance to the Holocaust History Museum is not permitted for children under the age of 10. Babies in strollers or carriers will not be permitted to enter.

Aron Schelvis ✡

Aron Schelvis was born on the 29th of November 1925 in Amsterdam. A tailor, he lived in the city of Bussum at 26a Floralialaan together with Meijer Schelvis, a relative who was also a tailor. In summer 1942, Schelvis and his two brothers moved into their elder sister Margaretha's home. She was a seamstress and her husband Jozef Stodel was a tailor; they lived in Amsterdam at 50 I Afrikanerplein.
