Submission of Articles

Yad Vashem Studies publishes original scholarly articles and review essays in English and Hebrew relating to all aspects of the Holocaust.

1. Articles submitted to Yad Vashem Studies should be original contributions and should not be under simultaneous consideration for any other publication. If any other version of the article is under consideration by another publication, or has been or will be published elsewhere, authors should clearly indicate this.
2. Articles may be submitted by email to yv.studies@yadvashem.org.il. They should be double-spaced, with ample margins. All pages should be numbered consecutively.
3. Articles should not exceed 10,000 words (including notes). A submission must include an abstract of approximately 150 words (100 for review essays) that relates the main arguments and conclusions of the article. Details of the author’s institution- al affiliation, full address, and other contact information should also be included. Interested contributors are welcome to contact Yad Vashem Studies, in order to receive our full instructions for contributors.
4. It is the author’s responsibility to obtain and provide Yad Vashem with the copyright holder’s permission for use of any copyrighted material that is included in the article. Said permission must be attached in either a separate file or in print.
5. To be accepted for publication, articles must pass peer review both by the editorial board and by outside readers. Prior to accepting an article for publication, the editorial board may request revisions . Authors will receive a PDF version of their articles and a complimentary copy of Yad Vashem Studies in English and Hebrew. The PDF is meant for the contributors’ personal use only and not for widespread distribution. No other use of the PDF is permitted without explicit permission from Yad Vashem Studies.
