Friedrich Jeckeln

Friedrich Jeckeln (1895-1946), SS commander. Following the German invasion of the Soviet Union, Jeckeln was appointed Higher SS and Police Leader (HSSPF) of the southern front, which included the occupied areas of Ukraine. From July-October 1941, the units under Jeckeln’s command participated in the massacre of the Jews across Ukraine.
