Yad Vashem is closed on Saturdays and all Jewish Holidays.

Entrance to the Holocaust History Museum is not permitted for children under the age of 10. Babies in strollers or carriers will not be permitted to enter.

Opening Hours

All visits to the Holocaust History Museum (individuals and groups) must be reserved in advance via our Online Reservation System.

  • The Valley of the Communities is closed for renovation until further notice.
  • As of 20 September 2024, the Steimatzky store will not be open on Fridays until further notice.

  • All visits to the Holocaust History Museum (individuals and groups) must be reserved in advance via our Online Reservation System.

  • Please dress respectfully when visiting Yad Vashem.
  • Smoking is not permitted at Yad Vashem, except in designated locations around the campus.
  • Backpacks and large bags are not permitted inside the Holocaust History Museum. Please deposit your bags in the cloakroom.  No storage available for suitcases.
  • Entrance to the Holocaust History Museum is not permitted for children under the age of 10. Babies in strollers or carriers will not be permitted to enter.
  • Guided tours for Holocaust survivors are free of charge and must be reserved in advance: 02-6443033.
  • Information desks are available in the Visitors Center and the Archives and Library Reading Room: 02-6443687/565.
  • All guiding in the Holocaust History Museum must be conducted with headsets, which can be hired in the Visitors Center.
  • Entrance to the Holocaust History Museum is permitted until one hour before closing.
  • The Cafeteria and Book and Resource Center are open to visitors in accordance with Museum opening hours.

The new David and Fela Shapell Collections Center will soon be open to the public for visiting, with prior registration. Details will be available in the near future.

Archives and Library Reading Room Opening Hours

Friday and Holiday eves

Closed

The reading room of the archives and library is open to the public without prior registration.
If you still wish to reserve a place in advance, you can fill out the form and select "Book a visit to the archives and library" from the menu.

Yad Vashem's archival reference and information services are also accessible remotely.
