The Story of Plonsk
A Jewish Community in Warsaw Province, Poland

One of the special features of this exhibition is this short video entitled "Behind the Scenes - Plonsk- Identifying a Town" in which Efrat Komisar, Head of the Footage Section of the Yad Vashem Archives, describes and demonstrates how careful research was able to correctly identify Plonsk as the town in a 1940 film made by photographer Horst Loerzer. As a result, the film itself now provides important visual testimony on the life of the Jews in Plonsk at the time of the Nazi occupation.
