Zygmunt Makowski was a Polish prisoner. He was born on the 8th of August 1897 in Zawiercie. Makowski was deported to Auschwitz on the 25th of August 1941 with a group of 63 prisoners from Opola.

According to records in the Auschwitz archive, he is recorded as having been murdered near Rybnik during the evacuation of the camp.

The Transport
On the 25th of August 1941 63 Polish prisoners were deported by the Gestapo from the prison in Opola to Auschwitz. There was no selection on arrival and all became inmates of the camp, receiving the numbers 20191 – 20253.
